SMITH
as "Carol"
Kacie
Smith is 14 years old and currently attends the Fort Worth Academy
of Fine Arts. She is a member of the Singing Girls of Texas and is
first chair soprano of Middle School All-Region choir. She also dances
with Generation Dance and will compete in National competition the
summer of 2003. However, Kacie's primary ambition lies in musical
theater. Some of her favorite productions include, "Best Christmas
Pageant Ever" as Gladys Herdman and Alice Wendelkin, "Midsummer Night's
Dream" as Puck and "Meet Me in St. Louis" as Agnes at the Granbury
Opera House. Kacie has additionally performed with the Fort Worth
Opera in their production of "Carmen." Although film is a new venue
for her, she is honored to make her silver screen debut in "The Patchwork
Monkey."

PAXTON MARTIN as "Tommy"
Robert
Paxton Martin makes his film debut in "The Patchwork Monkey" following
numerous stage and musical performances in such roles as Michael Darling
in "Peter Pan" and Ollie Herdman in "Best Christmas Pageant Ever."
Paxton continues to study with the Fort Worth-based Kids Who Care,
where he has been a member of the group's resident and touring companies.
He has studied at the prestigious Casa Manana, as well as having been
seen in print campaigns for Hallmark Cards and Masterfile. Paxton
attends All Saints Episcopal school as a 5th grader, sings with the
school's children's choir and has been a Cub Scout.

BELL

A native
Texan, Susan Bell has yet to recover from the fright induced by reading
"The Patchwork Monkey" as a little girl. Combining her work as a still
photographer and her love of storytelling, she transitioned into film
in college, finding work with an international documentary company upon
graduation. Susan has been an associate producer and first assistant
director on indie features and editor of a History Channel documentary,
as well as having worked many long hours on a PBS series that won the
IDA limited series award in 2000. For four years, Susan additionally
served as the director of new media at Fort Worth-based Abamedia, guiding
Internet operations for a Russian archival image licensing project.
Currently a first year MFA student at Florida State University Film
School, Susan is also a 2002 Chesterfield Writer's Film Project semifinalist
with her screenplay about the last days of legendary female impressionist
Rae Bourbon. "The Patchwork Monkey" is Susan's first 35mm short film.

DAMON
CRUMP
producer
As a kid,
Damon made short films for fun with his Dad's Super 8 film camera. He
later turned this hobby into a career and now has more than 15 years
experience as a Producer, Director, DP and Editor through his Waco,
Texas-based company Jackalope Entertainment. He has shot over 100 commercials
and marketing videos, and served as a Producer on the feature film "Shades
of Grey" and as an Associate Producer on "Go With Me," both independent
movies shot in Texas. His productions have won many local and national
awards. Damon is a graduate of Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Marketing
and Management.

ERCAN
ÖZKAN
director of photography
A native
of Istanbul, Turkey, Ercan has over ten years experience in feature
films, documentaries, commercials and music videos as a focus puller,
camera operator and director of photography. His work as a DP includes
"The Photograph," a feature film set against the backdrop of the 15-year
struggle for independence of the Kurds against the Turkish army, which
was an official selection of 12 international film festivals, including
Rotterdam and Thessaloniki. Ercan holds a Bachelor's degree in Cinema
from Mimar Sinan University.

SINAN
DORA
composer
A Ph.D.
student in music at the University of Chicago, Sinan has composed numerous
works for various solo instruments, chamber ensembles, orchestra and
multimedia, and has developed a new harmonic system for modern classical
music. This summer he was honored to have his string quartet "The
Owl" performed at the prestigious June in Buffalo contemporary
music festival. Sinan has also served as the Assistant Conductor of
the Tufts Symphony Orchestra and is the recipient of several music scholarships
and fellowships. Sinan holds a M.A. in Music Theory and Composition
from Tufts University and a B.M. in Film Scoring from Berklee College
of Music.

LUIS
GONZALEZ

A working
composer and recording artist, Luis was a recent finalist in Turner
Classic Movies' Young Film Composers competition. He has additionally
served as an Assistant Music Editor for various film and TV projects
for CBS, Discovery Channel, PBS and National Geographic Explorer. In
his native Venezuela, Luis was a member of the rock groups "Sara
es Rara" and "Alter Ego," and is currently a member of
the Boston-based jazz group "Zumbao Trio." Luis holds a Master's
in Music Composition from Tufts University and a B.M. from Berklee College
of Music, and is currently a Recording Engineer/Producer with Key Note
